Gray, Green & Travers Trio

The Gray, Green & Travers Trio was one of the most exciting bands I ever played in. The band featured Tom Gray on bass fiddle, Fred Travers on dobro and myself. In this band we wanted to be able to play songs that we couldn't play in a bluegrass band. We ended up playing a combination of jazz, showtunes, bluegrass and just about everything else. It was fun and I truly enjoyed working with Tom & Fred. We recorded one cassette which we sold at gigs. A year after we stopped playing regularly, my son found one of those cassettes in a Good Will store. He bought it for $2.00. Now I have my own copy.
